But with the Mk5/Mk6 generation the interior differences were bigger IMO. With a tune the new 1.8 puts down around 250hp, imo that new TSI engine is the best engine in its price range. Consider that mk4 GTI's used 1.8's too, and the golf is still on the MBQ platform, its a dirty sick hatch for the money.
